Carrot Apple Ginger Smoothie + Baby Food

Apples and carrots complement each other in their subtle sweetness and are perfect for starting out the lifelong exposure of flavors for a diverse palette. Add in a small piece of fresh ginger for even more diversity, and as an extra digestive, anti inflammatory benefit for the whole family!


Ingredients

2 medium full length carrots, or 6 baby carrots

1 apple, cored and quartered

1/4 - 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled (optional, but start small if you aren’t used to fresh ginger, it’s strong)


Directions

Place all in blender with about 1/2 cup water. Purée adding more water if necessary, until thick and smooth. Pour some out for baby to eat, add more water and blend again to your preferred drinking consistency.
