Soothing Lemon Ginger Tea

Warm lemon water has been used for centuries in ancient Ayurveda and traditional medicines to stimulate and awaken the digestive system. Ginger has a pretty impressive resume of medicinal properties as well, but is well-known for fighting inflammation and nausea. I love to sip on this warm tea whenever I feel like my digestive system needs a boost after a heavy meal, if I feel bloated or crampy, or if I'm fighting off morning sickness. Try steeping up a double batch and put it in the fridge for a refreshing twist on staying hydrated!

Ingredients

16 oz. water, heated

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and sliced thinly

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a mug, steep for five minutes or longer, and sip.
